2011 Northern New Jersey Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Over 5,500 participants came out in support of the 10th Annual NNJ Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Sunday, May 22, 2011.  Together, we raised over $410,000 (and counting!) to fund the most promising autism research, advance advocacy, provide family services, and raise autism awareness.  We are so close to our goal of $520,000 and know that with your continued help we will get there!

Congratulations to our 23 Top Teams who raised over $2,500 each and 74 Grand Club Members who raised a minimum of $1,000 each.  There is still time to become members of these elite clubs.

Special thanks to:

  • Our National Sponsors,Toys “R”Us and Babies“R”Us who came out with a team of over 100 individuals and a sample of their Differently Abled Toys for children on the spectrum.
  • Our Local Sponsors:  Investors Savings Bank, Macy’s and Fort Lee PBA
  • Our Day of Sponsors:  Tommy Hilfiger – Water Sponsor and – Start Line Sponsor
  • Our countless in-kind sponsors who donated their special treats.

Thank you to our stage and field performers who wowed the crowd with their special skills and thank you to our volunteers who enabled the day to run smoothly and reinforced the Walk Committee’s Motto:  Many Hands Make Light Work!

Last but not least – THANK YOU to our wonderful participants who attended.  There would not be an event without you!  Thank you for your continued support and giving up your Sunday morning to celebrate with us!!  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Much gratitude and appreciation TO ALL from Walk Co-Chairs – Melissa Andreacio & Amy Pantaleone and the entire NNJ Community Leadership Committee!
