2010 Central New York Walk Now for Autism Speaks

On Sunday, October 3rd, a large crowd of over 900 people came together at Long Branch Park for the 3rd Annual Central New York Walk Now for Autism Speaks.  With 73 teams, we raised $43,000 and counting for Autism Speaks, funding work in research, family services, advocacy and awareness.  Without each of our supporters, this would not have been possible, and for that, we thank you.

October 3 turned out to be a perfect fall day.  One of our Top Teams, Jake’s Crew, joyfully cut the ribbon to start the walk.  It turned out to be an even more special day when they were interviewed by celebrity walk chair and local news anchor, Matt Mulcahy.  The Twin Magicians entertained the kids with balloon animals and their real live rabbit in a hat.  Family and friends visited the resource fair while munching on goodies supplied by Walk sponsor, Tim Horton’s.

Thank you and congratulations to Walk Co-Chairs Erin Mast and Kelly VanSanford, and the entire Central New York Planning Committee!
