Walk Co-Chair Susan Woolner; Honorary Walk Chair, Lucy Ann Lance; and Walk Co-Chair, Rich Ansell

Hundreds of supporters came out on a beautiful, hot day in Saline, MI to participate in the satellite inaugural Washtenaw County Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Liberty School on Sunday, June 13th.  The Walk, co-chaired by Rich Ansell and Susan Woolner, raised thousands of dollar with donations still arriving!

Participants walked a little over a mile around the Saline Community Schools campus and enjoyed family entertainment zone including face painting and inflatable jumpers and obstacle course and many other sensory activities.  Water for the hot day was donated by ACO Hardware.  Local Walk Sponsors included Meijer and Lance Erskine Productions.

The Walk was kicked off with welcome speeches from honorary chair  Lucy Ann Lance, local Radio and TV personality, Pat Kemp, Autism Speaks Executive Vice President for Awareness and Events and Kathy Angerer, Majority Floor Leader, Michigan House of Representatives.

A huge thanks to all the individuals who came out in support of the Walk. Special recognition to Committee Members Sarah Pendracki, Walt and Anita Bringman and local volunteers who help with set up and the Walk Day Logistics. For more information, please visit our Michigan Facebook page
