2010 West Texas Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Thank you Clay and his Crew for kicking off the West Texas Walk (Abilene)

All the hard work of Walk Chairs Melissa Richardson, Jenny Frazier, Malissa Roach and their dedicated committee paid off on May 8, 2010!  The West Texas Walk Now for Autism Speaks had 3 locations this year.  On May 8, Permian Basin and Abilene started off with an amazing crew of volunteers setting up the event in the cold winds.   Both communities responded with over 2,100 walkers to enjoy a morning of fun, fellowship and entertainment!

There were many Resource Fair Providers available to our families.  A special thank you to our sponsors including West Central Wireless, Ashley Furniture, First National Bank and many more.  More than $183,800 has been raised to date for the West Texas Walks.  Thank you to the Storm Troopers, Geoffrey and other entertainment for keeping the day fun and full of smiles!

Congratulations to our top 3 teams, Charles in Charge, Super ASD and Konner’s Krowd.  A huge thank you to every team, walker, sponsor and volunteer that made all our Walk Days successful.
