2010 Milwaukee Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Thousands of Milwaukee walkers show their support and excitement of Autism Speaks

Despite the tornado warnings the day before, the Milwaukee Walk Now for Autism Speaks event at the Wisconsin State Fair Park turned out to be a sunny and great day for Autism Speaks!  2,000 people joined the second annual event, which took place on Saturday, May 1.  To date, the Walk has raised over $100,000!

Milwaukee’s famous Klements Racing Sausages joined the event and took photos with all our walkers.

All the Walkers were lead around the Milwaukee Mile race track by our official pace car provided by Fields Land Rover – Waukesha. There were jugglers from Heads Up Juggling, Strong Man Demonstrations by ProStrongMan.com, and the band Chasing Amy providing entertainment throughout the day.  The famous Klements Racing Sausages joined the participants for photos, the pre-Walk warm-up lead by Mispibo Fitness and the two mile Walk.

There were twenty Resource Fair vendors representing supportive organizations and service providers around the Milwaukee area, including ARCH Medical, ANGEL Autism Network, Autism Society of Southeast Wisconsin, Jewels of Austria, Easter Seals of Southeast Wisconsin, Landscape Structures, Good Friends, Best Buddies and more.

The Milwaukee Walk was supported by an army of over 70 Alpha Xi Delta from five chapters throughout the State of Wisconsin to volunteer and participate at the Walk.  To learn more about the Walk, please visit our Facebook page.
