2010 West Texas Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Happy Walkers on Walk Day!

All the hard work of Walk Chairs Beau and Julie Rogers and their dedicated committee paid off on April 17, 2010! The West Texas Walk Now for Autism Speaks (San Angelo site) started off with an amazing crew of volunteers setting up the event in the cold winds.   The community responded with over 700 walkers to enjoy a morning of fun, fellowship and entertainment!  There were several Resource Fair Providers and Sponsors including West Central Wireless, Multi-Chem and Area Wide Phone Book.  More than $89,800 has been raised to date for the West Texas Walk!  Look to see that total grow after the other two West Texas sites Walk with us on May 8, 2010.

Congratulations to our (San Angelo) top teams, Team Tate and SHAZAM who are neck in neck raising well over $6,000 and bringing over 150 walkers to raise autism awareness.  A huge thank you to all our teams, walkers, sponsors and volunteers as well as our incredibly gracious friends at West Central Wireless for making the 3rd Annual West Texas Walk (San Angelo site) a wonderful event for all!
