President & COO of Sprouts Farmers Market Doug Sanders will lead Arizona to success while serving as the 2010 Walk Chair. Doug and his wife Cindy are committed to the event and the cause. Last year, their 3-year-old son was diagnosed with autism. Thanks to the wonderful services in the Valley, their son started receiving therapy in January and has already shown signs of success.
In a rare collaboration, Autism Speaks and SARRC partner to produce the Arizona Walk Now for Autism Speaks to raise funds and awareness to support all those affected by autism. Together we are one strong voice and one united team. Combining, resources, skills and the talents of two organizations and hundreds of volunteers, we can make the greatest impact in Arizona. The 2010 Arizona Walk Now for Autism Speaks will take place Halloween morning on Sunday, October 31. In 2009, the walk raised just over $480,000 and united roughly 12,000 walkers.
