On Saturday, October 3, 4,500 people joined the New Jersey Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks, held at the beautiful beachfront Great Lawn in Long Branch, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The fourth annual event raised $260,000. Walkers enjoyed live music from Living Proof, two fun buses, the Home Depot Workshop, crafts, Star Wars characters and Scott the Music Man. After the two mile Walk, teams hung around the boardwalk to enjoy lots of live Bruce Springsteen music performed by the cover band. Many thanks go to Walk Chairs Janice McGreevy, Sheila Doerr and Beth Sarfaty for the success of the event.
