On Sunday, October 4, under clear but crisp skies, 1,000 people joined the inaugural Central New York Walk Now for Autism Speaks held at Long Branch Park in Liverpool, N.Y. More than 67 teams gathered together to raise money for Autism Speaks, including more than 100 members of Alpha Xi Delta from Cornell and Syracuse University. Kids enjoyed inflatables, face painting, and a puzzle patch. Walkers were energized by emcee Matt Mulcahy of CNY Central, who was joined by the great street team from Movin 100.3. Many thanks go to Walk Chairs Erin Mast and Kelly VanSanford for the success of the Walk, which raised $60,000.
